In Memory of Michael Ridge

As a dedicated social worker, Michael devoted his career to supporting vulnerable children, families and communities. He brought that same compassion, integrity and wealth of experience to his role as Trustee, where he was a trusted source of guidance, encouragement and thoughtful leadership.

Michael believed passionately in fairness, inclusion and the importance of ensuring that every individual was treated with dignity and respect. His understanding of the challenges faced by Gypsy and Traveller communities, combined with his professional expertise and genuine compassion, helped shape and strengthen our work. He was always willing to listen, offer thoughtful advice and stand up for those whose voices were too often unheard.

More than his knowledge and experience, Michael will be remembered for his warmth, generosity and quiet determination to make a positive difference. He was a valued Trustee, colleague and friend whose guidance helped our organisation grow and remain true to its values.

We are sincerely grateful for Michael’s dedicated service and the lasting contribution he made to our charity. His legacy lives on through the work we continue to do and in the lives of the people he helped. He will always be remembered with great respect, affection and gratitude.
