London Voter Registration Week: Your Voice Matters

This week marks London Voter Registration Week (LVRW), a city-wide campaign encouraging Londoners to make sure they are registered to vote and ready to have their say in the decisions that affect their lives.

For many Romani (Gypsy), Roma and Irish Traveller communities, political decisions have a real impact on issues such as education, housing, healthcare and equality. Yet these communities are often under-represented in democratic processes. That is why it is so important that our voices are heard and counted.

To support this year’s campaign, entrepreneur Wolfgang Douglas has created a short video encouraging Romani (Gypsy), Roma and Irish Travellers across London to register to vote and get involved in shaping the future of their communities. The video highlights a simple but powerful message: if we want change, we need to make our voices heard.
