Conference report 2017

Our 2017 annual conference was our 10th and another huge success. We have noticed a year on year increase of GRT attendance and participation and this was one of our biggest and best. 2017 was a very eventful year for the Traveller Movement. The conference’s focus on social justice and key policy areas such as domestic violence, economic inclusion and LGBT rights reflect some the various strands of research and lobbying that the Traveller Movement has focused on in 2017. It was extremely useful to hear from leading agencies, key stakeholders, community members, NGOs and politicians on how they intend to address these policy areas over the next 12 months, and how we at the Traveller Movement can engage with them.
